Plan your conference/event activities before you arrive!
You are spending precious time and resources attending an event so do as much as you can to prepare ahead of time to make it as successful as possible. Make use of the online "my event" resource if available. It usually has a list of exhibitors, attendees participating in "my event", tips and more to help you plan your time. Here are some of the things you should consider doing well before you enter the event venue:
- Set up meetings with key contacts/customers/potential customers to ensure that you get face to face time with them.
- Check out the exhibitors and take note which ones would be good to connect with.
- Review the keynote schedule. Take note of the ones that you want to attend, even if they are at 8 am.
- Go through the event agenda and determine which sessions/presentations you don't want to miss.
- Put together a schedule that includes all the things that you want to do at the event.
